ICE Slugfest Tournament Rules
Game Length and Inning Structure
Each game will be played for a maximum of six innings or 30 minutes, whichever occurs first. Once the time limit has been reached, no new inning may begin.
Gameplay and Equipment Rules
- The system will keep track of outs throughout the game. There are specific rules that govern foul balls.
- Hit Trax technology will be utilized to collect detailed player performance data, including balls, strikes, foul balls, base hits, and home runs.
- Bunting is not allowed during the tournament.
- All players must wear helmets at all times while playing.
Game Play and Conduct
- Games played in pool play may end in a tie.
- There is zero tolerance for any use of foul language or for throwing equipment.
- All decisions made by umpires are final and will be enforced without exception.
Home and Away Designation
- Home and away teams will be determined by a coin flip.
- The designated home team has the option to choose which MLB stadium will be used for their game.
Pitching Rules
- A pitching machine will be used for all games, with speed and field dimensions adjusted according to the age group of the players.
- If necessary, a live pitcher may be used in place of the machine.
Facility Guidelines
- Parents and spectators are not permitted inside the hitting area of the facility.
- Games may be viewed in the lobby via monitors provided at the location.
Bracket Play and Standings
- Seeding for bracket play will be based on overall wins and losses, total runs scored, home runs per team, and the highest exit velocity recorded.
- Standings and tournament updates will be provided via text and Team Snap. They can also be found online at www.justicebaseball.com.
